John Pointon and Sons Achieve ISO9001 Accreditation
As a leader in the animal by product and pet food industries, John Pointon and Sons is celebrating after achieving the internationally recognised ISO 9001 quality accreditation.
The award, independently audited by the British Standards Institution (BSI), demonstrates our Company’s commitment to providing quality products and services to our clients.
Based in the heart of Staffordshire, John Pointon and Sons started working towards the ISO 9001 goal in 2012 and Technical Director Barney Williams said the accreditation is a great achievement for the whole business.
“We have invested a lot of time and effort into securing the ISO 9001 accreditation and this will re-enforce John Pointon and Son’s position as a leader in our field and as a package give us further credibility in the animal by product and pet food sectors.
It has taken us over a year to achieve this accreditation but we deemed it necessary as part of our growth strategy. It was our aim to re-enforce with current and potential clients that we are a first class business and can add tangible value to their products and projects. The widely recognised ISO 9001 management tool will significantly improve John Pointon and Son’s operational performance.”
“Our customers can be assured of a level of quality that meets ISO 9001 standards. We now have a robust and efficient system that ensures best practice throughout our services and ultimately adds value.”
ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and requires organisations to demonstrate that they do what they say they do and that they have a quality management system in place to ensure consistency and improvement; leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
